Dora Kuc's sculptures situate themselves between figuration and abstraction, between the inanimate forms of earth and rock and manifestations of the body, between feminine and masculine formations, between smooth interiors and rough surfaces. The artist occupies the territory between categories, as the space between objects or subjects becomes an area where dialogue, touch, intimacy, or closeness can occur.
